Do I need a referral?

No. You are welcome to contact me directly to discuss your concerns or arrange an assessment.

Who do you work with?

I provide assessments for children (8 years and older), adolescents and adults.

Do you offer online assessments?

Yes. ADHD assessments can generally be completed either online or in person.

Autism assessments may also be completed online in some circumstances; however, some organisations and funding agencies require an in-person assessment. If you are seeking funding or support services, we can discuss the most appropriate assessment pathway during your initial consultation.

How long does the assessment process take?

I am typically able to begin working with clients within 2–3 weeks of initial contact. Once the assessment has commenced, the process is generally completed within approximately four to six weeks, depending on the complexity of the assessment and the availability of background information.

What information do I need to provide?

Where possible, it is helpful to provide school reports, previous assessments, relevant medical reports, and any other information that may assist in understanding developmental history. For adult ADHD assessments, information about childhood is particularly important.

Will I receive a written report?

Yes. Every comprehensive assessment includes a detailed written report outlining the assessment findings, diagnostic conclusions (where appropriate), and practical recommendations.

Can the report be used for medication?

If ADHD is diagnosed and you wish to explore medication, the report can be provided to your GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist. Please note that prescribing decisions are made by a medical practitioner, and they may require additional assessment before prescribing medication.

Can the report be used by schools or workplaces?

Yes. My reports are designed to provide practical recommendations that can assist schools, tertiary providers, workplaces and other health professionals in understanding support needs. Individual organisations may have their own requirements, which can be discussed during the assessment process.

What if the assessment shows that it isn't ADHD or autism?

A comprehensive assessment considers the whole picture. Sometimes the assessment confirms ADHD or autism, while other times it identifies another explanation for the concerns being experienced. Regardless of the outcome, the goal is to provide a clear understanding of strengths, challenges and recommendations for next steps.

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes. I am currently accepting new referrals. Please get in touch to discuss your needs or arrange an initial consultation.
